Obituary: Frank Norton Clark

Above is Frank Clark with cousin Naomi Herzog Vaughn (they were close in age as well as a relationship)

*For those that came here and want to know how Frank is connected, Frank Norton Clark was a first cousin to my Grandmother, Naomi Eileen Herzog Vaughn. They were also born the same year.*

Frank Norton Clark

Frank Norton Clark died on Friday, December 19,2008, within a few hours of the same day his spouse, Lucetta Eleanor, died in 1992. He extends his gratitude to all those who have worshipped, worked, and socialized with him and his family.
Frank N. Clark, born September 21, 1922, was reared in Olympia with outings to the family homestead in Boyleston with his father, Harold and brother, John during summers and visits to his grandparents, the Mischkes, in Yakima. Graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1940 from Olympia High School, he entered public service with the Library of Congress and later the Pentagon for the duration of WWII until 1948 when he decided to return home with his future bride, Lucetta, to follow.
Briefly attending Central Washington State College to earn additional office management skills, Frank Clark found employment with the Public Utility District as bookkeeper, office manager, and union member with IBEW Local 77. He married in 1949 and helped establish the Ellensburg Church of the Nazarene while caring for his family in the Kittitas Apartments, his home on 16th & Walnut, and the family's current residence on Pacific & Third.
Frank N. Clark is preceded in death by his brother John M.; his parents Harold N.& Julia M; and his wife, Lucetta E.
John R.; Frank M. (Ana); and Lewis N. Clark survive him.
Those wishing to pay their respects, may contact Bonnie at Affordable Funeral Care at 101 East 2nd Avenue, 509-925-2902. Frank Clark's verse for the day was Psalms 119:18, "Open thou mine…." The family hymn is Touch Not; Taste Not and the dirges are Zion's Hill & Consolation. Donations in his honor may be made to the Prohibition Party, Union Gospel Mission, Salvation Army, The Treasurer of the United States, or any charitable service of your choice intended for others to heal and reconstruct their lives in true Christian practice. Frank Clark's viewing will be at 101 East 2nd, December 23, 2008 from 10:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and a memorial funeral will be at River Church of the Nazarene on 3rd & Pearl in Ellensburg on Friday, December 26, 2008, at 2:00 p.m.

Greetings

Well we are home. We got home yesterday afternoon and it is back to our routine. We had a very busy time but it was memorable. We not only did the VAUGHN reunions but we also had a HERZOG picnic as well. I am getting together slide shows at this point for both of them.

For those of you who weren't there or didn't get a chance I wanted to let everyone know that I still have DVD's available. I have BOTH VAUGHN footage and HERZOG. They come with cd's of pictures that I have scanned from different collections, including from cousin Dottie. They are $20 including shipping. For those that don't know, my grandparents had a video camera (which some didn't know they had) and we spent over $750 having their 36 reels of 8 mm film transferred to DVD. It starts in 1943 and moves forward.

Also we will be making DVD/CD copies of the pictures and film we took at BOTH reunions. If you want copies of those, they are $10 including shipping. You can email me at bulldogsnoble5@gmail.com and let me know. I appreciate it!!
