Daniel Joseph Sabo Obituary

Daniel Joseph Sabo

December 16, 1974-August 24, 2022

Dan Sabo passed away in his sleep on August 24, 2022. He was 47 years old.
His professional career was designing elevators for ThyssenKrupp and Premarius with numerous projects across the country.

Dan volunteered with the Seafair Hydroplane races for the past 21 years and assisted in the course survey operations which his grandfather chaired for over 50 years. Dan’s hobbies were fishing, cooking/BBQ competitions, and sports fanatic. He was a wealth of sports knowledge and often referred to as beating google to the correct answer. Dan loved Seattle sports and collected memorabilia from the region. He was a 20-year season ticket holder for the Seahawks and would fly in for home games while working out of state.

Dan was most known for his heart of gold. He would spend his time helping friends in need from getting groceries, driving to doctor appointments, house/pet sitting, to being the ear to listen or the shoulder to cry on. His outlook on life was always to make the world better with the time you have and leave it better and brighter. Dan’s jokes, smile, and laugh will truly be missed.

Dan was preceded in death by his father Joe in March 2020 and his grandparents, Alfred & Naomi (Herzog) Vaughn & Ernest J & Donna (Mitchell) Sabo.

He is survived by his mother, MariLyn; his siblings MariLyn (MariJo) Yim, Rachel Ross, Steven Sabo, Jessie Yerby, 9 nieces and nephews, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He also enjoyed being an honorary uncle to his friend’s children & grandchildren.  A memorial service will take place in May of 2023.
Remembrances are suggested to: Fairview Church of God, Seattle, WA; or the Everett Gospel Mission.
