**More information about Cornelius Vaughn Sr. by Joseph George Vaughn (my great-grandfather, that was written in 1943. J.G. Vaughn is the Great-grandson of Cornelius Vaughn Sr. It was recorded and typed by J.G's son David Robert Vaughn.**
Mrs. (Frances/Franky) Cornelius Vaughn #1 died and Cornelius #1 (Emily aka Kitty) married again. When Cornelius #1 died, he had in his day book what he wanted his widow to have, but not in his legal will. Cornelius #2 and one sister (Kitty) wished to follow the day book. Crosby's wife, Louise Grooms Vaughn, and the other sister wished to beat the widow out of all the property. When auctioneer sold it, it was put up with him to sell to first bidder and furniture was turned over to the widow, free of charge as a bidder donated their price to satisfy the law. This caused a family row and when Cornelius #2 moved from Lexington, KY to Missouri, they never wrote, so all family connections were lost.
