Notes for ARCHALAUS STANLEY:
Archalaus was a church goer. He taught Sunday School and worked hard for the church. In 1909 being unable to continue arduous labor on the Mechanicsburg farm, they retired from active farm duties and made their home in Athens, where he was an appreciative member of the spiritual and educational life of the city.

In 1914, he was attacked by the persistent Brights decease, and gradually lost his health. On June 1, 1919, at The age of 58 years and 5 days, he died. He left his widow, a foster son Elmer A. Stanley who they adopted in 1897, two grandchildren, Jack and Laura Joanna, of Athens, and one sister, Mrs. Celinda Newsom , of Seattle, Washington, besides may nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He had an older brother who proceeded him in death named Lindley Stanley.

Thanks to cousin, Larry Robinson for my Stanley information!
